Request money using Interac e-Transfer®
With one simple transaction, you can avoid awkward conversations and request money with Request Interac e-Transfers®.
To request money from someone:
- Log in to online banking.
- Under Pay & Transfer in the top navigation bar of online banking, find the subhead Interac e-Transfer® and select Request money.
- From the Request money page you enter the:
- Contact name from your Interac e-Transfer® contact list,
- Amount,
- Payment due date (optional),
- Invoice number (optional),
- Message (optional),
- The account the money is to be deposited to, and
- Confirmation that recipient of the request will know who the request is from.
- Select Continue to proceed to the Confirmation page or Cancel to be redirected to the online banking homepage.
- On the Confirmation page, you are presented with the details of your request. Review and choose either Cancel to return to the homepage, Back to make changes to the request, or Continue to conclude the transaction.
- The Conclusion page presents a confirmation message of your successful transaction. You can:
- Print the details
- Email the details
- Export the details via PDF
- Save the transaction as a favourite
- Quickly navigate to:
- Homepage
- Transfer funds
- Pay bills
- Send e-Transfer
- View pending e-Transfers
- Manage contacts
To request money from someone:
- Select Pay & Transfer in the bottom navigation.
- Select Interac e-Transfer® from the list.
- Select Request e-Transfer.
- From the Request money screen, enter the:
- Contact name from your Interac e-Transfer® contact list,
- Amount,
- Invoice number (optional),
- Payment due date (optional),
- Message (optional),
- Select the
- “I acknowledge that eh recipient of this request will know that the request came from me” check box and scroll down, and
- account the money is to be deposited to.
Note: If you’re like to add this request to your favourite transactions, select the Star icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Continue to review the Request money details.
- Select Continue to proceed, or
- Select the back arrow to make edits
- Stop the Request e-Transfer process by navigating out of the Request Money flow.
- On the “Request successfully sent” you can:
- Share the request information as a pdf, email, or through apps on your mobile device
- Add it to your favourites.
- Select Done to exit
- View details to see the transaction details, including the confirmation number.
