The Board of Directors of Alterna Savings is responsible for providing oversight, supervision, and direction to the Executive Leadership team on the operation of the credit union. Accountability for Alterna’s performance, strategic direction, and the satisfaction of members, employees, and other stakeholders ultimately rests with them.

They are also responsible for setting policies and governing activities according to Alterna’s by-laws, the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act and other applicable laws and regulations. 

Alterna’s Board of Directors is made up of members just like you. Elections are held annually to fill open positions on the Board, and members have the opportunity to cast a vote and actively participate in the democratic process of our financial cooperative. Eligible members can be nominated to become a Director on our Board.
